President Nagata Visits Cyberdyne Care Robotics GmbH in Germany

President Kyosuke Nagata of the University of Tsukuba visited Cyberdyne Care Robotics GmbH in Bochum, Germany on June 6.


Cyberdyne Care Robotics GmbH is a subsidiary company of CYBERDYNE Co., Ltd, where Professor Yoshiyuki Sankai of the Faculty of Engineering, Information and Systems serves as CEO and President. Cyberdyne Care Robotics GmbH is providing medical treatments using Robot Suit HALR developed by CYBERDYNE Co., Ltd.


In addition to President Nagata, officials from Bochum City, Ruhr University Bochum, the economic promotion association in Bochum, and the Consulate General of Japan in Dusseldorf also visited the company. During their visit at Cyberdyne Care Robotics GmbH, they received an overview about the medical rehabilitation using Robot Suit HALR from a doctor in attendance. They took a tour of company's facilities and saw patients doing rehabilitation exercises wearing Robot Suit HALR.


After taking the tour, the officials exchanged views about the activities of Cyberdyne Care Robotics GmbH in Europe and about future possibilities to expand educational exchanges between Japanese and Germany people.
